Tequila CUAIMA®, is born in the prestigious tequila-making town of Arandas.
It is the pinnacle of the expertise by a 110-year-old factory, and a tribute to Mexican heritage: the tradition of gathering with close friends to enjoy this folkloric drink the way it was always intended.
The production of this premium tequila is carefully carried out in all steps of the process. It begins with the meticulous selection of the agaves, slow cooking to enhance their sugars, and precise extraction to obtain only the best alcohols.
The patient fermentation generates the initial hints of tequila. The double distillation process reserves the highest quality central part, known as the heart of the distillate, resulting in a pure tequila without additives and with better assimilation.
Tequila CUAIMA® is crafted from 100% Tequilana Weber blue agave, sourced from the renowned Los Altos de Jalisco region, with an altitude of over 2,000 meters.
The agave is cooked under high pressure, then extracted using a roller mill. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, ensuring a clean and controlled process. Distillation is then performed twice, first in stainless steel, and secondly in copper pot stills, resulting in a refined spirit with an alcohol content of 40% (80 proof).
BLANCO (white): white spirit, unaged and bottled immediately after distillation, or aged less than two months in stainless steel or neutral barrels.
REPOSADO (rested): aged between two months and one year, in oak barrels.
AÑEJO (aged): aged between one and three years in small oak barrels.
EXTRA AÑEJO (extra aged): aged a minimum of three years in small oak barrels.
AÑEJO CRISTALINO (clear): aged or extra aged, with color filtration.
With 100% Agave tequila, blanco is harsher with bold flavours, while reposado and añejo are smoother, subtler, and more complex, as a result of it taking on the flavours of the wood, while the sharpness of the alcohol mellows.
